A small scratch turned into a surprisingly smooth fix
I ended up needing Bumper Scuff repair after a slight misjudgment in a car park, but what followed was a much simpler than expected fix that left my car looking almost untouched.
It happened near Endcliffe Park on a typical day out, where I misjudged a low barrier. The scratch looked more obvious in daylight, and I knew it needed some repair work sooner rather than later.
Later that evening, I started checking a few sites and came across AutoScratch. The process felt simple to follow, so I sent over a few images from my phone and got a helpful response within a short time. Booking was quick to arrange, and I appreciated how flexible the timing was.
On the day, the technician arrived as scheduled and began with a careful wipe down of the area. Then came the initial prep work, which made here the scratch less visible already. A small amount of filler was applied where needed before moving to paint blending prep. Watching the shade comparison was interesting since they worked to ensure it looked natural. The blending stage was handled with attention to detail, and finally everything was finished cleanly to bring back the shine. The whole process felt well structured, and there was no rush despite it being a at home service.
By the end, the area looked very well restored, and unless you knew where to look, it was hard to spot anything had been there. I liked the time saved avoiding a garage visit and how quickly it was all completed. That said, I do think this kind of service is more appropriate for light scratches rather than anything too deep. Still, for what I needed, it felt like a practical solution, and I drove away feeling relieved.
